Short Biography

Raghavendra Vaidya is the Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Daimler Truck, leading the company's global IT operations and digital transformation strategies. He assumed this role on June 1, 2025, succeeding Marcus Claesson.

Vaidya has a deep history within the Daimler ecosystem. He previously served as the Managing Director and CEO of the Daimler Truck Innovation Center India (DTICI), where he oversaw major engineering and IT development initiatives. He first joined Daimler AG in 2016 as the Senior Vice President of IT for Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India.

Before his tenure at Daimler, Vaidya spent several years at General Electric (GE), holding prominent roles such as Global CIO for the GE Global Research Center and Regional CIO for Asia and Europe. He holds an engineering degree from Utkal University and a Master’s degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. Recognized for his leadership, he was named "CEO of the Year" at the 2023 ET Ascent Awards.
