Dr. Aldhaheri is a veteran of the UAE technology industry with over 30 years of experience in driving technology adoption in various public and private sector organizations. He has been into many positions, including: the Director General of the Emirates ID Authority, a member of the scientific advisory committee of the UAE Space Agency, an Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on information technology, and Chairman of the board of Smartworld LLC, and a Professor at the UAE University. He is the author of the book Digital Nation: How the UAE is building a future based on tech innovation, and he has written several articles and reports that were published in Harvard Business Review Arabia, MIT Technology Review Arabia, Times Higher Education, Human Futures of the World Futures Studies Federation, and Dubai Policy Review-Journal. He has been invited to speak at prestigious universities and international organizations including the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, the WEF, the UN, and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). He is a certified AI ethics facilitator from the Open Data Institute (ODI) in the UK). Prof. Saeed is among the world top 20 AI Governance Influencers for 2025 as per the (AIGN), and he is a Top Voice on LinkedIn.
